Your Roadmap Step By Step

  1. Getting Started

    Book Your Free Consultation

Discuss your background, research interests, and goals with our team to explore whether the mentorship is a suitable fit.

  2. Find Your Fit

Confirm Your Project And Program Tier

Agree on your research project and choose the mentorship tier that matches its methods and level of analysis: Tier 1 covers a systematic review without meta-analysis, and Tier 2 covers a systematic review with meta-analysis.

  3. Join The Program

    Complete Enrollment And Onboarding

Review your program terms, complete enrollment, and share the information needed to begin your agreed project.

  4. Get Ready

Access Your Materials And Arrange Your Schedule

Receive your learning materials and arrange meetings approximately every two weeks during the core mentorship, based on your availability and a mutually agreed schedule.

  5. Build Your Foundation

Refine Your Research Question And Plan

Work with your mentor to refine your question, eligibility criteria, protocol, and research methods before moving forward.

  6. Find The Evidence

Develop Your Search And Screening Process

Learn to build your literature search, screen studies, and document selection decisions with feedback from your mentor.

  7. Organize The Evidence

Extract Data And Assess Study Quality

Develop your extraction approach and assess study quality or risk of bias while your mentor reviews your work and explains improvements.

  8. Bring The Work Together

Prepare Your Findings And Manuscript Draft

Organize your results, tables, and figures, then develop your manuscript with teaching and revision feedback; meta-analysis or advanced statistics applies only when included in your selected tier and appropriate for your project.

  9. Prepare To Submit

Revise And Prepare For Journal Submission

Refine your manuscript, discuss suitable journals, and prepare submission materials while retaining responsibility for the final content and submission.

  10. Continue With Guidance

Receive Follow Up Through Month 12

Receive educational follow up on revisions, reviewer responses, and further submissions within the support period ending 12 months after enrollment, subject to your program terms.

Responsibilities & Ongoing Support

We Teach, Review, And Guide

Your mentor explains research methods, reviews your progress, and helps you improve your draft; you carry out the research and remain responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and final content of your work.

A Schedule Built Together

During the three month core mentorship, meetings are arranged approximately every two weeks based on your availability and a mutually agreed schedule; follow up continues through month 12 from enrollment, with email or Kajabi feedback when agreed.

Your Project And Authorship

Enrollment does not require adding a SkillClass mentor as an author or coauthor, and teaching, general guidance, or editorial feedback alone does not establish authorship; any additional contribution is assessed under the target journal’s authorship criteria.

Clear Scope And Expectations

Support covers one agreed project and its resulting manuscript within your selected tier; journal decisions are independent, acceptance is not guaranteed, and publisher or journal fees are your responsibility.

Protect Patient Privacy

Do not submit identifiable patient information.

Do not upload or send identifiable medical records, images, or other patient details through consultations, email, Kajabi, or mentorship materials; use only appropriately deidentified information you are authorized to share and obtain any required institutional, ethics, and coauthor approvals.

Not Accepted After 12 Months

If your manuscript has not been accepted by the end of the 12 month support period and you fulfill the program obligations, you may choose either 12 additional months of mentorship support at no extra cost or a refund of 50% of the amount actually paid to SkillClass for the program.

Your program obligations include:

  • Attend scheduled meetings or arrange rescheduling, and meet agreed draft deadlines.
  • Respond to feedback within 10 business days.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and original research data.
  • Follow the written journal selection and submission guidance for your project and submit your manuscript within the support period.
  • Obtain all required institutional, ethics, and coauthor approvals.

SkillClass must notify you in writing within 14 days of learning of an unmet obligation and allow at least 10 business days to address it before eligibility can lapse under the terms.

Request your chosen option in writing at [email protected] within 30 days after your support period ends. The options are alternatives, not cumulative.

If a journal has accepted your manuscript, this remedy does not apply, even if publication occurs later or you decide not to pay the journal’s charges. This is a conditional remedy, not a guarantee of acceptance or a full refund.
